The first stage of inserting oneself into the digital domain happens at the Creation Station where the user is measured for the construction of their personalized avatar and digital profile.

Example of Measurement Garment
During the measurement phase the user must stand perfectly still and properly aligned relative to the cameras. To assist in proper positioning the user stands on a special pedestal with foot indentations to guide them. These indentations also contain sensors that measure a user’s foot shape, size and pressure characteristics to allow for custom footwear measurements.
The Creation Station will likely be located within clothing retailers to take advantage of existing fitting rooms. More elaborate creation Station designs are for areas that may lack a wealth of designer outlets.

The Virtual Shopping Kiosk operates on the same concepts as the online integration. The structure is a physical booth that the user stands in while viewing their avatar in real time. During this process the protagonist has the opportunity to select clothing of interest from the library of designers. Motion tracking technology allows the avatar to move in unison with the user. This allows the projected image to function in much the same fashion as the wall mirror typically found in a fitting room.
